HIPPOTHERAPY

We went to Coffee Creek Riding Club today for horse riding. Izzy did GREAT!
We haven't been in a couple of months mainly because the temperature has just been too hot. Our time slot is noon, and when the temp is 100 + it can be miserable.
We could really see a big improvement since the last time we were there. Isabelle sat up nice and tall and kept herself up with minimal support. She used the saddle to keep herself steady when the horse moved. I usually stand back but today because they had another student at the same time as Izzy I did assist and was really able to feel how hard she worked to stay upright. When the horse moved, her head was up and she really looked great. She was able to ride longer than normal and even played along with activities set up along the course.
The best part of the whole trip was when we took her out to leave. After I buckled her into her carseat, Matt and I were both leaning in to tell her how proud we were of her and she smiled her little crooked smile that we knew and loved before her accident. Not one time, but about four times in a row. She was obviously very proud of herself! Joy and the others at Coffee Creek kept telling us and her how impressed they were with her today!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Praise the Lord! She is doing so well. We would love to see that sweet crooked smile, too. She is a beautiful little girl.

Way to go Izzy! You look so good riding on the horsey. You keep showing your mommy and daddy your precious smile, I know how much it means just to see it.

I continue to pray for complete restoration of your brain, won't stop until I hear the good news.

Love in Christ,
Sue

How exciting that you see those glimpses of Izzy as she was before the accident! I rejoice for you in each new conquest! God is good and I continue to lift Izzy and your family in prayer to the Lord.

Thank you, Annie, for the kind comment you left on my site. You have been an inspiration to me in the love and dedication you have shown in your care of Izzy since the time of her accident. You seem so much stronger and your love for your children and your faith in God is evident in all that you do. My Mom is very special to me. She was always there for us kids when we were young and even as we got older! She loves each of us unconditionally and I am thankful and truly blessed that, first of all, Jody is so great about her living here with us - and also that God provided the way for me to be able to be at home with her. It is hard, sometimes, that she is so dependent on me. I know that you can surely relate! Thanks so much for your prayers and your encouragement. I know that God blesses your family daily and I continue to lift you in prayer and have faith that God will provide healing to Izzy.
