Her friend Grace came to cheer her on!
She came home with two 1st place ribbons... the state event is in Stillwater in May.
Grace has been a good friend to Izzy for years and sadly is moving to Japan this July. She will really be missed! Grace told me that she reads Izzy's blog regularly and I told her I would post a picture of the two of them. She said that Isabelle is her best friend. Thank you Grace for loving Izzy and being such a good friend to her!

I just happened across this evening as I was reading other blogs. Izzy's story hit a raw nerve. Our sweet Laynee Grace fell into our pool on Labor Day 2009, nearly 3 years ago. It was the worst day of my life but the best day of hers. She went to heaven and left us with broken hearts. Like Izzy, Laynee hated the water and like you, I have replayed that evening over and over in my head. How could it have happened? We also have a son who is disabled as a result of congenital brain injury. So, while I cannot entirely relate, I do know and understand the struggles of disabilities. I will pray for sweet Izzy and for you also.
